WASHED
Washed (wet processed) coffees are de-pulped, then fermented in tanks for up to 24 hours. After, water is used to wash off the silky, sticky layer (mucilage) responsible for the majority of coffees sweetness. The final step is the drying into parchment phase. Washed coffees are prized for their clarity and vibrant notes, providing a truer taste of the origin and variety of the coffee beans, not the processing method.
