This coffee from the Abahuzamugambi (a Kinyarwanda word for people who work together to achieve a goal) cooperative is a quality find. About 2,000 smallholder farmers grow the coffee plants under the Abahuzamugambi cooperative, founded in 1999. Since 2000, the cooperative has been supported by the National University of Rwanda (NUR) and the PEARL. Like most coffees, flavors and taste notes can vary depending on climate and soil conditions. This one in particular has taste notes of Med body, bright acidity with notes of golden raisin, dates, and toffee.
